The Old Dawgs started 5-0 and were the #1 team for most of the season but they fell off the map finishing the regular season with a Forfeit loss and a beat down by the Pigs. They made it an 0-3 finish with a 20-19 overtime loss to X Force in their Gold playoff Play-In game. I give the Dawgs huge props for going for 2 and the win in OT but it wasn't too be as QB Chris Quackenbush's potential game winning 2-point conversion pass sailed out of the back of the end zone ending the Old Dawgs season. Not sure we'll ever see this team back but I know there's a few long time veterans that just aren't ready to give it up yet. Thanks for playing guys and the beer is always on me anytime you stop by.

The Misfits fall 19-0 to eventual Silver Champion Cuz We Can in the Silver semi-final but these guys were by far the most improved team we've had in years. They've gone from winning one game a session to going 5-2 in league play, including handing #1 Banana Hammocks (6-1) their only loss of the season. The Misfits are definitely rising stars and once they learn how to handle a strong D-line rush they'll challenge for championships. Great season guys and I hope to see you back for next session.

No Punt Intended advanced to the Silver championship game putting a 28-0 thumping on Bud Knights before falling 33-6 to a tough Cuz We Can team. I'm not sure what the future holds for this fading franchise but hopefully team stalwarts Eric Wolfe and Bill Burgett will put the pieces together and keep things going.

It just wasn't Bud Knights night. The offense and defense both picked a bad time to take a night off, resulting in the defending Silver champions early playoff exit with a 28-0 loss to No Punt Intended. It was another season of not seeing the Knights come up with anything new on either side of the ball. If I can see it, the other teams can see it too. They're a good bunch of guys and a decent team but its obvious that teams that have played them a few times have figured out how to handle the Knights. For what its worth, don't be afraid to throw a new wrinkle in there once in awhile.

SILVER CHAMPS!!! Player/coach Pat Syver's return from injury rejuvenated a good Cuz We Can team and helped propel them to 19-0 shutout over a much improved Misfits team in the semi-finals and a 33-6 blow-out of No Punt Intended in the Silver Championship game. The D-line, lead by Dillion "Derv" Ervin dominated in both games and it seemed like every time I looked, WR Elliot Myers and QB Bryan Stovel were hooking up for another big TD. The whole team played great on a night they needed to and that's why they're this session's Silver Champions. Well played guys and congrats on your championship. Looks like you'll be "Going for the Gold" next session.

The Team (1-7) ended their season with a disappointing 21-0 playoff loss to Dirty Knights. This is another first-time team that really struggled but there is some talent there and hopefully they'll build on that and play again.

Unfortunately, Bunch of Bums live down to their name and finish 0-8 with a 13-12 loss to Practice Squad in the Bronze semi-final. I hate to see a team go "0-fer" but I give them credit for never giving up, showing up, and competing every week. Not sure if they'll be back but the only way to get better is to play.
